Information and services for referring veterinarians, supporting emergency care, case referral and clinical collaboration. Includes referral pathways, access to specialist services, and partnership models within a collaborative veterinary teaching hospital environment.
Practitioners are encouraged to call our team on (02) 8627 6192 and ask for our Hospital Coordinator during business hours.
Our Receptionists, Hospital Coordinator and Nurse Unit Coordinators are always here to provide general telephone advice to referring practitioners. Clinicians are available to provide clinical advice for individual cases or urgent referrals.
To refer a case, simply complete the referral form and enter the information requested.
There is a section on the form that enables you to attach your patients complete medical record and previous diagnostics performed including radiographs, pathology results and any other supporting documentation.
On completion of the form, you will receive a summary of the referral, your client will also receive notification of your referral request including the reason for referral field. Your client’s notification will also include details on how to contact us to arrange a booking.

24 hour emergency services are not offered for owner's of dogs and cats.
We see horses for both primary consultations and second opinions, and we also welcome referrals from other veterinarians.
Our team accepts referrals from local veterinarians for a range of livestock cases, including herd disease outbreaks, mastitis, and reproduction, as well as individual animal conditions such as ill-thrift, urolithiasis, and parasitic disease. Services also include specialist large animal surgery, imaging, and pathology.
