The University of Sydney Business School’s Master of Business Administration (Leadership and Enterprise) and Master of Management have both improved their global rank in the prestigious 2026 QS Global MBA Rankings and Business Master’s Rankings released overnight.

The MBA (L&E) moved up one place to 44th out of 390 programs, ranking 3rd in Oceania and rating particularly highly for thought leadership and diversity.

The Master of Management moved up six places to 21st globally out of 235 programs, retaining its #1 position in Australia and excelling in thought leadership and alumni outcomes.

Professor Leisa Sargent, Dean of the Business School, said: “Our rise in the QS Global MBA and Master’s in Management rankings is a product of our commitment to responsible leadership, transformational student experience, and research excellence for societal impact.

“At the University of Sydney Business School, we empower our students to tackle complex global challenges with curiosity and an innovative mindset. This recognition affirms the value of our distinctive approach, where academic excellence meets a deep commitment to sustainability, inclusion, and equipping leaders for the future of work.”

The 2026 QS Business Master’s Rankings were evaluated based on more than 36,000 employer responses and nearly 40,000 academic responses.

Programs were scored on employability, value for money, alumni outcomes, thought leadership and diversity – and the University of Sydney’s programs ranked above the global average in each category.

The university also performed strongly in the recent 2025 Financial Times business school rankings, remaining the highest-ranked Australian university in the Master of Management.

This recognition affirms the value of our distinctive approach, where academic excellence meets a deep commitment to sustainability, inclusion, and equipping leaders for the future of work.
