Part-time MBA Scholarships

Over $180k in part-time MBA scholarships available for Semester 1, 2023.

The below MBA scholarships are valued at over $60,000 each and covers full tuition fees for 3-4 years of part-time study.

The Future Leaders MBA Scholarship is awarded to applicants who demonstrate leadership experience and outstanding future potential in their chosen field. Applicants for the Future Leaders MBA scholarship are also automatically considered for the Social Impact Scholarship.

The Anstice MBA Scholarship for Community Leadership is awarded to assist emerging leaders in community organisations in acquiring world class business and management skills. Preference will be given to those who currently are employed within the not-for-profit and social enterprise sectors.

The Alek Safarian MBA scholarship supports emerging leaders in pharmacy, pharmacology, medicine, nursing or science who have an interest in the pharmaceutical industry. Preference will be given to those who have a qualification awarded by the University of Sydney in the listed areas.

The part-time MBA scholarships are only open to applicants who are Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents, or citizens of New Zealand that are eligible to receive an unconditional offer of admission into the part-time Master of Business Administration (MBA) offered by the University of Sydney Business School. 

Current students enrolled in the University of Sydney MBA and University of Sydney employees are not eligible to apply.

  • Submit an online application form via our website (a direct link to apply will be provided to you upon registering your interest)
  • Upload a copy of your CV, academic transcript, and statement of motivation detailing how you demonstrate leadership experience and potential in your chosen field, and what you hope to achieve professionally and personally by completing the University of Sydney MBA.
    • If applying for the Alek Safarian MBA Scholarship please also detail your interest in the pharmaceutical industry.
    • If applying for the Anstice MBA Scholarship for Community Leadership also detail the following:
  • a.  experience working in a multi-disciplinary team,

    b.  collaboration with for-profit and/or government organisations and an ability to network,

    c.  their development of an initiative which has been adopted by their organisation and has proven sustainable,

    d.  leadership, having coordinated a team in a project or business strategy to a successful outcome, and

    e.  personal achievements which have been recognised in the community.

If applying for multiple scholarships you are only required to submit ONE statement of motivation detailing the relevant selection criteria.

Round One

Entrants must register to apply and then complete an application form via our website. The application will include the submission of a statement of motivation.

Applications close: 10am Monday 5 September 2022

Round Two

Shortlisted applicants are required to attend a masterclass and submit a short reflective essay.

Finalist Masterclass: Friday 30 September 2022
Reflective essays due: 10am Tuesday 4 October 2022

Round Three

Shortlisted applicants are invited to attend an interview with the judging panel.

Finalist interviews: Tuesday 1 November 2022
Scholarship announcement: Friday 4 November 2022
