Donate to education

Scholarships and bursaries can open doors for students who might otherwise miss out. With a donation to education, you can make a difference.

Change lives through education

We strive to create a community in which individuals and their ideas can flourish, regardless of their socioeconomic, geographic or cultural backgrounds.

When you make a gift towards student support, you are providing financial assistance to talented and motivated students, and giving them the ability to focus on the thing that matters most – their education.

Scholarships provide financial aid to students who might not otherwise be able to attend university. This includes students from rural and regional communities, low socioeconomic backgrounds and minority groups, or students who are living with a disability or as a carer.

Bursaries provide students with financial relief during a difficult time, allowing them to continue with their studies and purchase essential items like textbooks.

“Most people don’t know that before I came to university, I was homeless"

Living in transitional housing, Jessica* thought her lifelong dream of attending university was impossible.

"Being awarded the bursary changed my life. It meant that I could move out and start university without difficulty.

I was able to purchase household items and essential study items such as books and instruments. It made all the difference to me."

How to donate

When you make a donation to the University, you can choose to support students through scholarships or bursaries:

  1. If you'd like to give online, you can make a one-off online donation and simply select your preferred option.
  2. Otherwise, you can leave a bequest in your will, make a one-off or regular donation, or donate in honour or memory of someone
  3. Contact us and we can work with you to find the best fit for your donation, for example supporting a scholarship in an area of study that you're passionate about.

In life and death moments, clarity and purpose can be found. Kelli Owen's moment showed her that she wanted to help Aboriginal kids know their traditional language. A scholarship helped her do it.
