Members of Sydney Knowledge Hub enjoy access to space and facilities at the University of Sydney, including a desk at our purpose-built coworking space and support with wayfinding within and outside of the University.

Membership

Membership is application-based with selection criteria based on the level of collaboration potential with researchers at the University of Sydney. 

Membership is on a monthly basis and has a 30 day cancellation period.  Pre-seed or pre-revenue startups may be eligible for a three-month initial pro bono period.

Complete the online application form to become a member of Sydney Knowledge Hub. Applications are reviewed by our Membership Selection Committee for evaluation based on type, level of scientific research, collaboration potential with the University, and potential for positive social impact.

Frequently asked questions

Members of the Sydney Knowledge Hub use the space as their primary place of work and gain access to its benefits & events - for a fee.

Students, staff and researchers at the University of Sydney working for research-based organisations are eligible for a three-month pro-bono membership pending approval of their application from the Member Selection Panel. After this period, they have access to a discounted membership.

The selection process is in place to ensure that members benefit from working in the space.  The selection process vets applications based on the collaboration potential with the University of Sydney.

No. We have startups, nonprofits, and ASX listed companies as members.

Our team has experience working with startups but we don’t actively get involved in your business operations. We can connect you to startup programs, accelerators, mentors and consultants if you need.

No, however, if you are a researcher at the University of Sydney looking to commercialise your research, we recommend getting in touch with the Commercialisation Team first. Working at the Sydney Knowledge Hub does not affect IP ownership.

We are closely connected to the faculties and schools at the University of Sydney and actively promote programs and internship opportunities to our members.
