Our Harware labs access to equipment and benchtop space to iterate on prototypes, assemble devices at a small scale, and package and ship components.

Sydney Knowledge Hub helps members tap into the University of Sydney’s research ecosystem — linking you with expert researchers, talented students, and world-class infrastructure to support your R&D goals.
Collaboration opportunities include research partnerships, PhD engagement, work-integrated learning placements, and more. Members also benefit from close proximity to labs, core research facilities (with discounted access), and on-campus prototyping spaces.
We provide a range of programs for researchers for capacity building, networking, and furthering their intellectual property.
We also have a robust calendar of events from venture capital, startup programs, and service providers help members network further into the startup ecosystem.
Our spacious function room accommodates up to 90 people seated and is available for hire. It’s ideal for workshops, presentations, networking events, and community gatherings.

For organisations that want to base their team out of the coworking space. Options are available for dedicated desks, hot desks, and a small number of team rooms. This is a paid membership.
Selection is based on the level of collaboration potential with researchers at the University of Sydney. Membership is on a monthly basis and has a 30 day cancellation period. Pre-seed or pre-revenue startups may be eligible for a three-month initial pro bono period.
Member Selection Panel meeting is scheduled to ensure that members benefit from working in the space. Selection is based on the collaboration potential with the University of Sydney.
For University researchers that are pursuing commercialisation. Benefits for researcher members include access to small group workshops and experiences, inclusion in our community, and limited access to the coworking space and meeting rooms.
Note: Fees apply to the use of the Hardware Lab and for using the Sydney Knowledge Hub as a company’s postal address.
Applicants must have participated in a cohort-based program run by the Sydney Knowledge Hub, demonstrated support of Sydney Knowledge Hub, or been an active part of our community.
The Sydney Knowledge Hub team assesses eligibility based on meeting the criteria as outlined in the application (you must be an alumni of a program of ours or demonstrated active participation or support in our community).
