Events and webinars
Throughout the year we run a range of online and on-campus events and webinars for prospective undergraduate students. These include degree- and discipline-specific webinars, Year 10 Information Evenings, Year 12 Information Evenings, Open Day and Info Day.
School visits
Our General Presentation is hosted by our student ambassadors and includes information on areas of study, real-world experience opportunities, exchange, university life, scholarships, admission pathways and how to apply.
There are also extended versions of the presentation where we will cover admission pathways and scholarships in more depth.
Depending on your selection, presentations are between 30-50 minutes. We recommend scheduling no less that 10 minutes for a Q&A following the presentation.
Virtual school presentations
Book in a live virtual school presentation and Q&A for your class.
The Zoom session will be unique to your school and hosted by two of our student ambassadors, who will give a 30-40 minute presentation on the University which includes the same content as our in-person school visits. The presentation will be followed by an interactive Q&A.
Careers markets
We attend high school careers markets throughout the year. Our student ambassadors can provide one-on-one advice on all aspects of university, including courses, global exchange opportunities, transferring and deferring, and other topics to help students make an informed decision.
Campus tours
Join our student ambassadors for a tour of our Camperdown/Darlington campus. Get an inside look at Australia’s oldest university and receive the answers to any questions you have about studying with us.
Tours start underneath the Quadrangle Clocktower and cover many of the key features on campus. A typical campus tour is 2 hours in duration, comprising a 1-hour tour of the campus and facilities, and a 1-hour University presentation. We ask all campus guests to follow COVID-safe practices on campus.

The Sydney Institute of Agriculture offers five hands-on workshops, including an insight into why chocolate is so delicious! These are available to students from all years (groups of 10-30).
Visit the Tin Sheds Gallery and join in the exploration of new ideas, research, debate and spatial experimentation and innovation.
Explore the galleries and exhibitions at the Sydney College of the Arts to see a range of challenging and innovative contemporary art exhibitions and events.
ARTiculate Series
Our ARTiculate virtual talk series aims to support high school students to enrich their understanding of subjects related to arts, humanities and social sciences. These 30-minute webinars are followed by a Q&A and are suitable for Year 11 and 12 students. Explore the topics including Shakespeare, health economics, ancient history, French, and geography with political economy.
LINK Project: Widening Participation in English
By building collaborative partnerships with low socio-economic high schools across Western Sydney and regional NSW, our Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences is bringing the humanities to life and demystifying university study in the process.

The Inspired by Business program is aimed at domestic NSW high school students applying for the Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Commerce/ Bachelor of Advanced Studies via our Early Offer Year 12 (E12) Scheme.

We host a workshop to assist you with preparing your teacher education personal statement to study one of our undergraduate education degrees (excluding early childhood).
If you’re a teacher with students interested in engineering, computing or project management, our Faculty of Engineering has a range of outreach activities run here on campus or at your school.
The Faculty of Medicine and Health engages with staff and students from schools around Australia, offering several options including:

School tour and workshop
The Conservatorium runs one-hour guided tours of historic buildings and modern facilities for high school groups. Learn about the campus and the students and staff who have performed and studied here. Enjoy a lunchtime concert or experience a music workshop.
Masterclasses and composition portfolio development
We offer a number of masterclasses at the Conservatorium throughout the year for aspiring classical, jazz and contemporary performers, composers and musicologists – and they are free and suitable for high school students to attend.
Rising Stars at the Con
Each year, the Conservatorium of Music fosters the development of an elite group of young musicians, with the Rising Stars program for students in Years 7-12.
Have a mathematics researcher take over your classroom for a one‑hour virtual visit. Your students will be introduced to mathematics in careers, a current field of research and hands-on puzzles designed by the visitor.
