Integrate ethical, legal, regulatory, and culturally safe practice requirements into oral surgical care by managing consent, documentation, and clinical governance responsibilities in complex cases
Coordinate communication with patients/carers and multidisciplinary teams to support shared decision-making, care coordination, and safe referral/escalation across services.
Implement and evaluate patient safety strategies across the perioperative oral surgery pathway by applying human factors principles and nontechnical skills to reduce risk and improve team performance.
Diagnose and risk-stratify dentoalveolar surgical presentations (including medically compromised patients) by synthesising history, examination and investigations to determine suitability for setting, monitoring requirements, and escalation thresholds
Develop and justify comprehensive, evidence-informed treatment plans for dentoalveolar surgical conditions, incorporating multidisciplinary input where indicated and prevention/management of complications

Design and defend a feasible research or clinical audit proposal relevant to surgical dentistry by refining a question, selecting and justifying methods, and preparing ethics and data management documentation where required
