Food and Bioprocessing Major

Overview

The major in Food and Bioprocessing allows Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering students to deepen their knowledge of bioreactors, bio-commodities, pharmaceuticals, food process design, food product realisation, food quality, food safety and food industry innovation. The major explores a range of new and emerging technologies in processing, extraction technologies used in the production of food and bioproducts, and the application of bioprocesses. The students will learn how to select, adapt, and evaluate food and bioprocessing options.

This major best aligns with the Chemical or Biomedical stream.

Achievement of a major in Food and Bioprocessing requires 48 credit points from this table including:
