Honours

Requirements in the combined Bachelor of Advanced Studies

If eligible, students enrolled in a combined Bachelor of Advanced Studies can complete an Honours component in their Table A or Table S subject area (major).

For Table S specific subject areas, please refer to the Table S subject area in this handbook.

For details of the admission and completion requirements, including the Honours unit of study tables, please refer to the Handbook of the faculty administering the relevant subject area.

Students should also refer to Current Student - Honours to understand the steps involved in applying for Honours and faculty specific requirements.

Requirements for the Bachelor of Advanced Studies (Honours)

To qualify for the award of the Bachelor of Advanced Studies (Honours), a student must complete 48 credit points comprising:

  • 36 to 48 credit points of Honours units at 4000 level or above, including an Honours research project of 12 to 36 credit points; and
  • where appropriate, 12 to 36 credit points of Honours coursework units to meet the 48 credit points total.
