You must be:
Established in 2016 by Mrs Judith and Dr Mario Adamo, this scholarship aims to encourage research in implant dentistry to further understand issues associated with implantology including osseointegration, stability and retention of implants, and reduce implant failure and infections.
a. Established in 2016 by Mrs Judith and Dr Mario Adamo, this scholarship aims to encourage research in implant dentistry to further understand issues associated with implantology including osseointegration, stability and retention of implants, and reduce implant failure and infections.
a. Applicants must be currently enrolled in the Sydney Dental School at the University of Sydney in one of the following courses:
I. Doctor of Dental Medicine
II. Graduate Diploma in Dentistry (Oral Implants), or
III. Doctor of Clinical Dentistry
b. Applicants must be undertaking research into areas associated with implantology.
a. The successful applicant will be awarded the Scholarship on the basis of:
I. academic merit
II. a personal statement which demonstrates the applicants interest in implantology.
b. The successful applicant will be awarded the scholarship by the Head of School and Dean of the Sydney Dental School, or their nominee.
a. The scholarship is valued at $6000 per annum and tenable for one year.
b. The scholarship will be paid in two equal instalments after the census date of each semester.
c. No other amount is payable.
d. The scholarship will be offered subject to the availability of funding.
a. Progression is subject to passing the annual progress review.
a. The scholarship will be terminated if the recipient:
I. withdraws from an eligible course or fails to enrol
II. receives Clinical, Academic & Professionalism (CAP) demerit points
III. requires remediation or reassessment
IV. commences part-time study without prior approval
V. is determined by the University to be guilty of serious misconduct, including, but not limited to, having provided false or misleading information as part of their scholarship application
VI. is awarded an alternative primary scholarship that provides a living allowance. In such circumstances this scholarship will be terminated in favour of the alternative scholarship where the alternative scholarship is of higher value
VII. does not resume study at the end of a period of approved leave, or
VIII. does any other provision as indicated in these terms that would lead to termination.
b. Once the scholarship has been terminated, it will not be reinstated.
c. Where a student is found guilty of serious misconduct or withdraws from the relevant course, the University reserves the right to request that any scholarship funds paid to the scholarship recipient be reimbursed.
