Established in 2026, this Scholarship is provided by the University of Sydney Business School to assist students commencing Master of Business Administration (MBA) coursework studies at the University of Sydney.

1. Background

a. Established in 2026, this Scholarship is provided by the University of Sydney Business School to assist students commencing Master of Business Administration (MBA) coursework studies at the University of Sydney.

2. Eligibility

a. Applicants must have an unconditional offer of admission for the MBA, MBA (Technology and Digital Strategy) or MBA (Leadership and Enterprise) coursework degree within the University of Sydney Business School at the University of Sydney.

b. Applicants who have already commenced a degree in any MBA coursework degree are not eligible.

3. Selection Criteria

a. The Scholarship will be awarded on merit.

b. The Scholarship will be awarded by at least two members of the Business School staff, or their nominated delegates.

4. Value

a. For recipients commencing full-time studies (24 credit points), the Scholarship is valued at $30,000 (international) / $23,500 (domestic) and is tenable for commencing semester only.

b. For recipients commencing full-time studies (18 credit points), the Scholarship is valued at $22,500 (international) / $17,000 (domestic) and is tenable for commencing semester only.

c. For recipients commencing part-time studies (12 credit points), the Scholarship is valued at $15,000 (international) / $11,500 (domestic) and is tenable for commencing semester only.

d. For recipients commencing part-time studies (6 credit points), the Scholarship is valued at $7,500 (international) / $5,900 (domestic) and is tenable for commencing semester only.

e. The Scholarship value will be paid after the census date.

f. Deferral of the Scholarship is not permitted. This Scholarship is not transferable to another University school, faculty or university.

g. The Scholarship will be offered subject to the availability of funds.

h. No other amount is payable.

5. Termination

a. The Scholarship will be terminated if the recipient:

I. withdraws from an eligible course or fails to enrol,

II. does not remain enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit points of study in the awarded semester,

III. is determined by the University to be guilty of serious misconduct,

including, but not limited to, having provided false or misleading information as part of their Scholarship application,

IV. is awarded an alternative primary scholarship. In such circumstances this scholarship will be terminated in favour of the alternative scholarship where the alternative scholarship is of higher value,

V. has outstanding unpaid academic tuition fees,

VI. any other provision as indicated in these terms that would lead to termination.

b. Once the Scholarship has been terminated, it will not be reinstated unless due to University error.

c. Where a student is found guilty of serious misconduct or withdraws from the relevant course, the University reserves the right to request that any Scholarship funds paid to the Scholarship recipient be reimbursed.
