Attend a graduation ceremony in China

icon

Unfortunately, registration for ceremonies in 2025 is now closed as all ceremonies have reached capacity.

Each year, the University partners with the Centre in China to hold graduation celebrations in China. These culturally rich celebrations are conducted in a combination of English and Mandarin and attended by senior University staff.

If you’re an eligible student you’re welcome to celebrate your academic achievements with friends and family at one of these special graduation events. This exciting opportunity is in addition to your Sydney graduation ceremony.

This year the celebrations will be held at the Grand Hyatt Shanghai, Jinmao Tower, 88 Century Avenue, Pudong New Area, Shanghai, China.

Benefits of attending

  • Ceremonies are held in prestigious venues.
  • Senior academic and professional staff from the University join to celebrate with you and your guests.
  • You’ll get the chance to connect with local alumni and build professional networks.

We'll prioritise students whose degrees are conferred between December 2024 and November 2025.

If your degree was conferred before December 2024, you can apply to attend once registrations open. We'll add you to the waitlist and let you know at the end of the registration period if there are places available.

Yes. These ceremonies in China are an additional opportunity available to graduates who have already attended a Sydney ceremony or will attend an upcoming ceremony.
