Policy bites in new exploratory research seminars

13 September 2024
A public forum for early-stage policy research and practice
Lunchtime seminars at the Sydney Policy Lab will create space for academics and community members to exchange ideas across disciplines.

Exploratory and applied policy work in its earliest stages will be featured in Policy Bites, a new series of research seminars at the Lab.

The format and focus on research and practice in its earliest stages, reflects the Lab’s community-centred, multidisciplinary approach to policymaking. Each public seminar gathers researchers and the community to hear and discuss new work – exchanging ideas and methods across disciplines.

The Policy Bites organising committee has today announced the full slate of seminars for Semester 2, following the success of the first entry in the series delivered by Associate Professor Javier Rodríguez: “Premature mortality of racial minorities and the poor, politics, and the perpetuation of inequality.”

Staff at the University and community members are warmly invited to come along to these in person sessions and be a part of the discussion.

Semester 2 Policy Bites

Policy Bites are organised by Dr Kate Harrison Brennan, Director, Sydney Policy Lab; Dr Assel Mussagulova, Lecturer in Public Policy and Public Administration, School of Social and Political Sciences; and Associate Professor Meru Sheel, Sydney School of Public Health.
