Students participate in a professional placement experience to further develop and consolidate competencies required for providing speech pathology services to individuals, families and communities. Students manage a caseload and participate in a variety of speech pathology management and service activities within the on-campus clinic. All students engage in reflective practice and reciprocal learning including supervisory conferences with their practice educators and peers. Students are expected to demonstrate competency in professional communication skills, teamwork and effective time management, as well as safe and appropriate speech pathology services. Students also provide mentoring to Y2 speech pathology students across the semester.
