Unit of study table

Master of Environmental Science and Law

Students must complete 72 credit points from this table, including:
(a) 12 credit points of degree core units of study;
(b) 18 credit points of Environmental Science Selective units of study; and
(c) 18 credit points of Environmental Law Selective units of study; and
(d) 6 or 18 credit points of research capstone units, according to the following rules, either:

(i) RESP5001 - Integrated Environmental Practice; or

(ii) all of ENVI5502 - Environmental Research Project A, and ENVI5503 - Environmental Research Project B, and ENVI5504 - Environmental Research Project C; and

(e) Any additional units of study selected from the remaining units of study or selective units of study to complete 72 credit points in total.

Students who do not hold a law degree from a common law jurisdiction must either have completed or be concurrently enrolled in LAWS6252 Legal Reasoning and the Common Law System before undertaking the environmental law units.

Students must either have completed or be concurrently enrolled in this unit prior to commencing other law units of study. Law graduates from a non-common law jurisdiction are strongly recommended to undertake this unit. This unit is not available to students who have acquired a law degree from Australia or another common law jurisdiction.
