Inherent Requirements for Occupational Therapy

Pre Placement Requirements for all Occupational Therapy students

Students must complete NSW Health and other relevant jurisdictional and statutory obligations prior to all fieldwork placements as indicated in the current Faculty of Health SciencesFaculty Resolutions and outlined on The University of Sydney Work Integrated Learning website.

These include required vaccinations, Criminal Records Check, Working with Children Check and Australian cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certificate.

Notes
1. Students are required to complete 36 credit points of electives over the course of the degree. At least 6 credit points must come from the Behavioural or Social Sciences (or equivalent) and a minimum of 6 credit points must come from the Biomedical Sciences (or equivalent). Otherwise, students may choose from Non-OT units of study as well as Year 4 OT elective units of study. For Non-OT electives, see Faculty Electives chapter. Students may also take broader University electives.
