Integrated Building Engineering

A specialisation in Integrated Building Engineering will provide you with the essential technical skills and knowledge related to multi-disciplinary engineering for the design and construction of buildings, including architectural engineering and façade engineering.

Students complete 18 credit points to achieve this specialisation.
Students complete 6 credit points from the following:
CIVL3511
Basics of Integrated Building Engineering
6    A CIVL1900 Introduction to Civil Engineering and CIVL2110 Materials and CIVL2201 Structural Mechanics and MATH2061 Linear Mathematics and Vector Calculus
Semester 1
Students complete 12 credit points from the following:
CIVL5533
Energy-efficient Building Systems
6    A CIVL1900 Introduction to Civil Engineering and CIVL2110 Materials and CIVL2201 Structural Mechanics and MATH2061 Linear Mathematics and Vector Calculus
Semester 2
The following units will be available from 2022:
CIVL5531 Advanced Integrated Building Engineering
CIVL5535 Building Envelope and Adaptive Engineering
Units taken for the specialisation will also count toward requirements of the Civil stream.
