Benefits

Full-time recipients will receive one of the following depending on their qualifications:

  • NHMRC Medical/Dental stipend rate per annum.
  • NHMRC Priority stipend rate per annum.

Part-time recipients will receive 50 percent of the stipend rate.

The duration of the scholarship will vary from 1.75 - 4 EFTSL years depending on whether the recipient is enrolled in a Masters by Research or PhD and the duration of time they have already been enrolled in their degree.

Who's eligible

You must:

  • have an unconditional offer of admission or being currently enrolled full-time to study in a Masters by Research or PhD at the University of Sydney (applicants enrolled part-time may be considered for this scholarship if approved by the Research Committee of the NHMRC CTC)
  • be willing to conduct research in one of the priority areas of the NHMRC CTC
  • have the pre-requisite skills required to complete the selected research project
  • have a primary supervisor that is an academic staff member of the NHMRC CTC
  • not exceed 15 hours of paid employment each week with the University of Sydney if enrolled full-time (applicants approved by the Research Committee of the NHMRC CTC to be enrolled part-time must not exceed 25 hours of paid employment each week at the University).

This scholarship has been established to provide financial assistance to a Masters by Research or PhD student to undertake research in one of the priority research areas of the NHMRC Clinical Trials Centre (CTC).
