Sydney Institute of Agriculture

The Sydney Institute of Agriculture was established to bring together agricultural research from across the University of Sydney and contribute valuable knowledge to the agriculture and food sector.

Centre for Translational Data Science

The Centre for Translational Data Science was established in 2016 and is one of only a few centres worldwide whose research focuses on modelling complex data and translating this research into practical outcomes which benefit society. We're applying advanced methods in statistics and machine learning to understand the unknown and solve real-world problems.

Lambert Initiative for Cannabinoid Therapeutics

The Lambert Initiative was created when Barry and Joy Lambert made a $33.7 million donation for research into the therapeutic use of medicinal cannabis.

Sydney Food and Nutrition Network

Our experts are changing the way we teach, think and learn about food and diets: reshaping local and international food systems, solving food and nutrition problems, and developing a culture of excellence in this area of research.

Funded through Australian Research Council (ARC) Linkage schemes, the Faculty is home to two ARC Industrial Transformation Research Hubs and two ARC Industrial Transformation Training Centres:

ARC Industrial Transformation Research Hubs

These Research Hubs engage Australia's best researchers in issues facing the new industrial economies and training the future workforce. The scheme supports collaborative research activity, between the Australian higher education sector and industry, designed to focus on strategic outcomes that are not independently realisable.

ARC Industrial Transformation Training Centres
