To ensure that students can make the most of their time at the University by being mentally and physically healthy, student life, wellbeing, and support services have been put in place with the aim of helping you succeed in your academic life. The support services are free, confidential, and accessible when you need them most.
As an enrolled student you’ll have free access to Innowell. The platform provides you with 24/7 on-demand access to tools that assist in self-managing your mental wellbeing and health, and gives information about how to seek help when you need it.
The TalkCampus app is also available, which lets you be anonymous while seeking support from your peers globally in a safe and encouraging environment. Through the app you can also access the 24/7 Clinical Helpline, which is a multi-language chat service that allows you to engage with trained mental health professionals.
During assignment and exam periods, it is really easy to get caught up in your studies and neglect your physical health and wellbeing. Fortunately, we have several supports on and off campus, with a great variety.
A 24/7 wellbeing and safety app called Sonder is also available, which provides you with on access to wellbeing and safety professionals and resources.
The University’s preferred health cover is the Allianz Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC), which helps you cover medical costs while you’re living in Australia. It is a condition of your student visa that you maintain OSHC for the duration of your studies.
When it comes to your wellbeing there’s no right or wrong way to access help and support when you or your peers need it most. It's important to recognise that everyone has stresses and challenges in their life and that help is available.
