Margaret Ethel Jew Fund for Dementia Research

Gift to directly support research into the causes, treatments and prevention of dementia

A generous donation made in memory of Margaret Ethel Jew will provide funds, in perpetuity, to directly support research costs for a Brain and Mind Centre researcher in dementia.

The Brain and Mind Centre is now seeking applications for direct funding support from affiliated researchers, thanks to a donation from the Jew family.

Eleanor and Ian Jew have donated $100,000 to endow the Margaret Ethel Jew Fund for Dementia Research at the Brain and Mind Centre, The University of Sydney.

This annual stipend of $5,000 is designed to support research into the causes, treatments and prevention of dementia.

The stipend is to be awarded to any Brain and Mind Centre affiliated researcher working within the field of dementia or cognitive decline.

Applications must be supported by 400 word (maximum) statement on your research platform and how this funding will assist in its advancement, as well as a 2-page truncated CV to demonstrate track record.

Applications towards this fund may be submitted here. (Please note applicants must have a University of Sydney email to log in).
