Rigorous research insights to build gender equality and inclusion at work
We bring together world-leading research capability with practical, evidence-based insights to build understanding of the drivers of gendered inequalities at work and to design strategies for positive change.

About us

The Australian Centre for Gender Equality and Inclusion @ Work at the University of Sydney is a new multidisciplinary research initiative leveraging several decades of research expertise on women’s working lives to establish an action-oriented, practical approach to building a gender equal future of work.

The Centre offers unique, research-informed insights, developed using new workplace data, to produce targeted and effective gender equality interventions.

We provide nuanced, rigorous and ‘next-generation’ research, that provides insight to understand how to:

  1. Design gender equality into the future of work.
  2. Address gender disparities and segregations.
  3. Build alignment in work and care regimes that work for women, men and workplaces.
  4. Motivate respectful, inclusive work cultures where all people thrive.
