Unit of study table

Master of Creative Writing

Students complete 72 credit points, comprising:
(a) 24 credit points of core units of study;
(b) a minimum of 24 and a maximum of 42 credit points of selective units of study;
(c) a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 12 credit points of capstone units of study;
(d) a maximum of 18 credit points of elective units of study.
With prior written approval, it is possible for Master of Creative Writing students to count a maximum of 6 credit points of elective units from outside the Creative Writing table towards their degree requirements. Students wishing to do so should consult in the first instance with the Master of Creative Writing degree director to determine a suitable option, and then gain written approval from the relevant delegate in advance of enrolment.

Graduate Diploma of Creative Writing

Students complete 48 credit points, including:
(a) 24 credit points of core units of study;
(b) a minimum of 18 credit points of selective units of study;
(c) a maximum of 6 credit points of elective units of study.

Graduate Certificate in Creative Writing

Students complete 24 credit points, including:
(a) 12 credit points of core units of study; and
(b) a minimum of 6 credit points of selective units of study;
(c) a maximum of 6 credit points of elective units of study.
