1 Demonstrate an advanced understanding of recent disciplinary developments, including new theoretical concepts and new issues in international relations.
2 Demonstrate and apply knowledge of the different theoretical approaches that define the field of international relations, and of their founding concepts to its other issueareas.
3 Evaluate research designs, methods, and conclusions and identify how new or established concepts can be applied in novel fashion.
4 Synthesise complex theoretical arguments or concepts, and develop critical analysis of scholarly work in international relations.
5 Evaluate real-world political events and issues against normative and empirical theories of international relations.
6 Demonstrate the capacity for research enquiry and methodology through an original research project.
