Physical Activity and Health

Overview

A major in Physical Activity and Health integrates knowledge from the basic, applied, and social sciences to allow you to develop an understanding of human structure and function and evidence-based approaches for safe and effective exercise and physical activity. You will learn physiological responses to acute exercise and training programs, skill acquisition, and nutrition knowledge and skills to supplement broader exercise, physical activity, and nutrition recommendations. The Physical Activity and Health major includes projects drawing on a variety of tools, media, and strategies appropriate to facilitate engagement with audiences from different backgrounds and life stages.
