2 Demonstrate values, professional practice, and provide services that align with the Speech Pathology Australia, Code of Ethics (2020, and as revised).
3 Engage respectfully and reflectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities to provide culturally responsive and safe care.
4 Develop and utilise knowledge of communication and swallowing through the integration of evidence and critical thinking, to facilitate safe, effective, and high-quality services that improve the function, activity, participation and well-being of individuals, families, and communities.
5 Consider cultural, linguistic, social, and personal contexts of individuals with communication and swallowing needs to critically evaluate interventions and interactions with them and their families or community.
6 Influence change for individuals, families, communities, and the Speech Pathology profession through advocacy.
7 Work independently, collaboratively, and inter-professionally to engage in workplace research and projects, and provide services to individuals, families, and communities with communication and swallowing needs.
