About this course
The Master of Medicine (Advanced) (General Practice and Primary Health Care) is designed for experienced general practitioners and doctors pursuing training in general practice.
This course is only available to students currently enrolled in the Master of Medicine (General Practice and Primary Health Care) who meet the requirements for admission (see below).
The Master of Medicine will provide a wide range of relevant study areas, some specific to general practice and primary health care and others aimed at extending knowledge and skills, such as dermatology, diabetes and metabolic health, paediatrics, clinical teaching, mental health, public health and ethics. Following the completion of requirements for this course, students complete a supervised research project.
Designed for working professionals, the course is largely delivered online, using a case-based approach that allows flexible integration of your studies with your professional and personal life.
Commonwealth Supported Places (CSP) are available for this course for eligible domestic students. This means that your course fees are subsidised by the Australian Government and you pay a student contribution amount (SCA). CSP places are limited in number and are allocated based on academic merit.
