Overview

This professional certificate will equip surgeons with knowledge of evidence-based surgical techniques to extend the role of breast conservation and improve the aesthetics of breast conservation surgery.  

It will inform sequencing of treatments and surgical decision making, particularly with regard to breast reconstruction options when mastectomy is necessary. 

Breast surgeons will develop current, evidence-based technical and clinical expertise and the ability to participate in multidisciplinary care to improve patient outcomes.

  • Oncoplastic Breast Surgery Level 2 (SURG5040)

What you'll pay

Sydney Professional Certificates comprise of two units of study, totalling 12 credit points. You only pay for these as you enrol each semester.

The fee displayed on the right hand side of the page shows an indicative postgraduate full-time study load of 48 credit points across one year. A professional certificate is equivalent to a quarter full-time load. 

Admission criteria

Admission to the Sydney Professional Certificate in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery requires students to be a:

  • Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgery or equivalent; and
  • BreastSurgANZ Post Fellowship trainee or practising breast surgeon with full membership of BreastSurgANZ or equivalent.
