Completion of a specialisation is a requirement for the Master of Health Security program. A specialisation requires the completion of at least 6 units of study (36 credit points) chosen from the units of study listed in the table for that specialisation, unless candidates are exempted on the basis of recognised prior learning.
The biodefense and biosafety specialisation includes study in the areas of biological weapons, counter-terrorism, customs and border control, civil-military relations, health diplomacy, dual use research of concern, and emergency response.
