Improvised Music Ensemble 1 - IMPR1001

Improvised Ensemble 1 is a weekly group improvisation session, where the techniques of Improvised Music 1 are implemented practically in an improvising music ensemble. In this 2 hour weekly class, an ensemble is creatively formed with the objectives to perform and record new improvised music as a band.

In-class overview of techniques of improvisation in ensemble (25%); Student led project session 30mins (20%); Guest performer workshop assignment (20%); Special Project Week assignment (20%); Instrumental tuition tutorial (15%)
