Honours in Geography is a one-year component available via an appended Honours. It includes a 36-credit point research project that will provide the opportunity to develop real-world research skills and apply them to a specific problem in areas including sustainable development, environmental change & human responses, regional development, environmental degradation, land, water and food security, natural hazards, coastal and marine environments and biodiversity loss. Two 6-credit point coursework units will aid in the development of fundamental research, ethical and communication skills.
Honours in Geography is available to students with a major in geography or a cognate area. Admittance into the program is determined by the Faculty of Science as well as the geography honours coordinator.
