IncludED Study – Seeking better understanding of eating disorder experiences in the LGBTQIA+ community

We are running a study called IncludED, which aims to understand the experiences of LGBTQIA+ people with eating, body shape/weight, exercise and mental health concerns who may or may not have a formal diagnosis of eating disorder.

Data collected from this study will provide deeper insights into lived experiences of eating disorders within our community. This research has been designed by members of the community, for the community, and aims to provide information to improve awareness, understanding, supports and treatments.

IncludED is an anonymous 15-minute online survey that is calling for people (aged 16+) who identify as LGBTQIA+. We are aiming for 1000 participants in Australia but due to social medial recruitment strategies, we expect the study to spread internationally.

Eligibility

The IncludED study is open to anyone aged 16 and over, who identifies as LGBTQIA+.

Anyone in the community is invited to participate, whether they have had any experiences of disordered eating, body image concern, or eating disorders, or not, as we would like to gain as much insight as possible into the experiences of the LGBTQIA+ community.
