• Early Feedback Task (EFT): An EFT will be held in the form of a quiz in week 3 in order to determine early indicators of student effort and academic performance. This is non-weighted, meaning zero marks, but is compulsory and will be held in-class. Feedback will be provided by week 4. The EFT initiative also allows teachers to understand where to provide more support early on in the semester.
• Group Project (Report):  The topic and detailed instructions for this group project will be provided from week 2 of semester. You will work in a team on a case-study where your team will have to  engage stakeholders to produce a project deliverable for the project sponsor. This deliverable will be in the form of a product, result or process. For the purpose of the group report, the key deliverables are:
  1. Stakeholder identification report  (worth 5%, due Week 5)
  2. Stakeholder assessment & facilitation report (worth 25%, due Week 13)
• Group Project (Presentation): An in-class presentation showing the process for achieving key group project deliverables 1 & 2 above. This may include showing how you identified stakeholders, engaged with them, set up agendas for meeting, how it was facilitated, questions asked, requirements gathers, thought process, project execution, etc. Unleash your team`s creativity here - utilise photos, video clips, documentary, simple powerpoint show, images and text, etc. (worth 10%, due weeks 11 & 12 in class).
• Short MCQ: There will be an in-class short multiple choice questions assessment which will cover content from weeks 1-12 (worth 15%, held in week 13). 
• Short Answer Questions: The in-class short-answer questions assessment will cover the application of stakeholder management and facilitation principles and relevant content will be from weeks 1-9 inclusive. In order to prepare, students are encouraged to review stakeholder theory, management practice, and analytical techniques/frameworks. (worth 15%, due week 9).
• Reflection Reports: Reflections are an important part of any project practice as it allows for self-evaluation on practice and learning during project delivery. As you learn about communication, facilitation and stakeholder engagement, you are encouraged to complete reflection reports based on reflection of learning of past weeks.  There will be two reflection reports: due (worth 20%, due week 6 (covering learning from weeks 1-6 inclusive) and week 12 (covering learning from weeks 7-12 inclusive).
• Participation: Worth 10% of your total overall marks, participation mark is awarded on the basis of meaningful contribution made consistently over the semester either through in-class and online discussions and activeness in class contributions. Mere attendance does not constitute participation. You are also encouraged to participate in voluntary class facilitation and micro-teaching activities where available.

Study Commitment:
Typically, there is a minimum expectation of 1.5-2 hours of student effort per week per credit point for units of study offered over a full semester. For a 6 credit point unit, this equates to roughly 120-150 hours of student effort in total.

Attendance  Requirements:

As per the Faculty of Engineering Coursework Awards Resolutions, students are expected to attend and actively engage in all timetabled activities of their respective units of study. For this unit of study, students are expected to attend a minimum of 90 percent of timetabled activities for a unit of study unless granted exception by the Dean or Head of School most concerned. A student may be determined to fail a unit of study because of inadequate attendance. Alternatively, at their discretion, they may set additional assessment items where attendance is lower than 90 percent.  

Text-matching software for Assignment Submission:
As part of the assessment process, text matching software such as Turnitin will be used to identify plagiarism and/or be used for providing feedback.

Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) Software for Assignment Submission:
You are required to acknowledge any use, in part or in whole, of Generative AI generative tools in the process of developing and writing your assignment. In this unit of study, specific instructions will be provided regarding when and when not to use Generative AI.

Confidential Peer Evaluation:
As part of the group contribution assessment process, collaborative & self-peer evaluation tools (e.g. SparkPlus, CATME, etc.) may be used, either on a confidential or non-confidential basis, to understand contributions and interactions amongst group members. Marks may be adjusted for an individual team member, following on from the peer evaluation process.

Canvas Marks Not Reliable:
Canvas will be used in this unit and while key assessments will be submitted via Canvas, it cannot be used to determine/ predict a students final marks in this unit because not all assessments are visible to students and group/team marks can change for each individual team member based on the peer-evaluation conducted at the end of the semester.

Recycling Assignments Not Allowed:
Recycling involves submitting (or resubmitting) your own work that has already been assessed without the permission of the lecturer of this unit, and for which you have already been given feedback. Recycling is a form of academic dishonesty and will be handled in line with the coursework policy.

 
Mark Moderation:
There may be statistically defensible moderation when combining the marks from each component to ensure consistency of marking between markers, and alignment of final grades with unit outcomes.
