Affiliates

Become an important contributor to our School and University community.

What is an affiliate?

An affiliate is an individual who is not a paid staff member (including casuals) of the University but who is:

  • appointed or engaged by the University to perform duties or functions and/or;
  • recognised for their contribution to the University

Affiliates play a crucial role in supporting the university's core functions. They contribute to various aspects, such as research, education, and community engagement. By providing resources, expertise, and collaborative opportunities, affiliates help enhance the university's capabilities and ensure the successful achievement of its mission and goals.

Why become an affiliate?

Our dynamic community of scholars are dedicated to addressing contemporary challenges in the built environment. Leveraging their expertise in architecture, design thinking, user experience design, architectural science, and urbanism, they strive to develop innovative solutions. This commitment is driven by an abiding curiosity and a strong emphasis on collaboration, ensuring that our efforts are both impactful and forward-thinking.

As an affiliate, you will become an integral part of the University of Sydney's academic community, holding a valued affiliation title for an agreed period. This partnership involves close collaboration with our school to advance our student education and research priorities. Your contributions will help shape the future of our academic programs and research initiatives, ensuring they remain at the forefront of innovation and excellence.
