Composition principal study units
Composition principal study requirements applies to students in the following degrees. Specific requirements are listed in the relevant Composition enrolment pattern.
(a) BMusic (Composition):
(i) 48 credit points in Composition 1-8
(b) BMusic/BAdvanced Studies (Composition):
(i) 48 credit points in Composition 1-8.
(c) BMusic (Music Education):
(i) 24 credit points in Composition 1-4.
(d) Diploma of Music:
(i) 24 credit points in Composition 1-4.

CMPN1601 Composition 1	6	Students should own a professional music notation program (e.g. Sibelius, Finale, Dorico).

CMPN2603 Composition 3	6	P CMPN1602 Students should own a professional music notation program (e.g. Sibelius, Finale, Dorico) and a DAW (e.g. Audacity, GarageBand, Logic, ProTools, Ableton).
CMPN2604 Composition 4	6	P CMPN2603 Students should own a professional music notation program (e.g. Sibelius, Finale, Dorico) and a DAW (e.g. Audacity, GarageBand, Logic, ProTools, Ableton).
CMPN3605 Composition 5	6	P CMPN2604 or CMPN2223 Students should own a professional music notation program (e.g. Sibelius, Finale, Dorico) and if relevant, a DAW (e.g. Audacity, GarageBand, Logic, ProTools, Ableton).
