About the practical experience
School observation and practice teaching are major, integral components of the professional experiences in all education and teaching programs at the Sydney School of Education and Social Work.
Practicums and internships – which are offered in partnership with participating schools – are designed to augment University coursework and provide student teachers with opportunities to develop their teaching skills and professional understanding.
Requirements for completion
Students will complete 20-day block of professional experience in Year 3; 25-day block in Year 4; and a 35-day internship in Year 5.
