The Advanced stream is available in the following courses:
- Bachelor of Liberal Arts and Science
- Bachelor of Science
- Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Advanced Studies
- Bachelor of Science/Master of Mathematical Sciences
The Advanced stream requires:
- An ATAR of 95.0
- For transfer students, a WAM of 70.0
- To remain in the stream, a WAM of 65.0 in each 48 credit point block
- Completion of a Science Table A major in which a minimum of 24 credit points of advanced units of study at the 2000-level and higher are taken, with at least 12 credit points at 3000-level (a list of majors able to meet these requirements is given below).

The following majors have sufficient Advanced units to fulfill the requirement of a minimum of 24 credit points of advanced units of study at the 2000-level and higher. Please note, programs which contain one of these embedded majors also meet requirements.

Learning outcomes
Students who graduate from the Advanced stream will be able to:
