1 Apply a body of knowledge about the history of the museum and the development of heritage to contemporary practice in these fields.
2 Engage in and understand current debates in Museums and Heritage studies.
3 Demonstrate a critical understanding of the role of museums and heritage in society, together with a comprehensive knowledge of policy and governance.
4 Develop high level collaborative skills through self-directed and supervised project based placements and assessments.
5 Understand and appreciate the working conditions and constraints of museum and heritage professionals and demonstrate the ability to engage with real world situations and practices.
6 Extend their ability to plan and execute a research-based internship project and/or independent scholarly research.
