*Note. After completing three years of the combined degree, students graduate from the Bachelor of Commerce and are transferred into the single Bachelor of Laws degree to complete their final requirements.

Both the Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws can be awarded with honours.
(a) suspending enrolment in the Bachelor of Laws for one year and enrolling in the Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) for an additional year of full time study; or
(b) by enrolling in the Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) after the completion of both the Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws degrees.
For details of the requirements for entry into and completion of the honours in the Bachelor of Commerce (Honours), students should refer to the Current Students Honours page and the resolutions for the Bachelor of Commerce (Honours).
For the award of Honours in the Bachelor of Laws, students must complete a supervised dissertation by way of elective units of study in their fifth year of study. An additional honours year is not required. For further details, students should refer to the: Sydney Law School Handbook.
The Dalyell stream is a targeted stream that offers outstanding students the opportunity to engage in challenging experiences to gain greater breadth and/or depth of learning in their degree, and achieve the graduate qualities to a high level.
Students enrolled in the Dalyell Stream must complete a minimum of 12 credit points of Dalyell Stream units of study (Table D). Dalyell Stream students also have the opportunity of completing optional Enrichment units of study as degree electives.

A Bachelor of Commerce major consists of 48 credit points in 1000, 2000 and 3000-level units of study in a single subject area.
In the Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws students must select one major from the Table A subject areas offered by the Business School to fulfil the requirements of their degree.

Note. The Professional Accounting program is not available to students enrolled in the Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws. Students in this combined degree who wish to seek professional accreditation can still achieve this by completing the requirements outlined in the Professional Accreditation section in this handbook.
Students must complete at least 12 credit points in elective units of study from the subject areas listed in Table A (Business School) and Table S (shared pool). The available units of study are listed in Table A of this handbook and Table S, and/or Table O. Students enrolled in the Dalyell stream, must complete at least 12 credit points of units of study listed in Table D in the Interdisciplinary Studies Handbook.
Students enrolled in this degree also have the opportunity to complete a variety of standalone degree (Table A) elective units (those not counting towards majors etc.) working with industry and other community projects, study tours or exchange study at an overseas university. For the Bachelor of Laws component of the combined Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws, students must complete a 48 credit points in LAWS units of study in a specified sequence. Refer to the Law Handbook for further details.
