The Chau Chak Wing Museum is built on philanthropy. Our new building was only possible thanks to the generosity of donors inspired by our unique combination of collections to support the acquisition, conservation and display of artworks, specimens, and objects. Our supporters enable us to create innovative learning programs for students of all ages and cutting-edge research projects that reveal the history of humankind.
The University of Sydney is dedicated to a multidisciplinary vision of teaching and research and the museum embodies that approach. When antiquities meet visual arts and natural history, and collections are viewed as a whole, marvellous conversations can occur.
