We're here to support you on the day you arrive in Sydney as an international student studying at the University of Sydney.
If you are arriving from overseas, there is support available for you at Sydney Airport. You can speak to someone in the Arrivals Hall, take your pre-booked shuttle to convenient Sydney locations and then afterwards come to campus to meet us at the Welcome Hub.
If you've landed at Sydney International Airport, follow your fellow passengers through to the Australian Customs and Border Protection Service checkpoint for your passport and visa check. Make sure you've completed your incoming passenger card by this point (which you should receive on the plane). You'll then be able to collect your bags before exiting through the quarantine check. Once you exit, you’ll come out in either Arrival Hall A or B of the International Terminal.
Keep an eye out for student volunteers at the NSW Government's International Student Welcome Desk. You'll find them in Arrival Hall A at the airport, ready to answers all your questions.
If you pre-booked the free airport shuttle, your booking confirmation email has instructions on what to do once you've made it to the Arrivals Hall.
If you need change your booking you'll find a link in your confirmation email.
If you have any questions about the free airport shuttle service, please contact the University online by completing the Living in Sydney enquiry form.
If you're arranging your own transport from the airport, we're happy to point you in the right direction. Talk to one of our volunteers at the Airport Welcome Desk.
We know you'll want to get to your accommodation as soon as possible.
If you're staying in University accommodation, you'll find check-in instructions in the confirmation email you received from our accommodation service.
If you've arranged your own accommodation, it's important you follow all the right steps to protect yourself, such as completing the condition report and taking some photos as soon as you can. Read more about what you need to do in the:
