The University's Sydney CareerHub has banned further advertising by Rake Chambers.
The Careers Centre has delisted a job advertisement from the Sydney CareerHub, which was referenced in a 24 October 2017 New Matilda article, and put a ban on any further advertising by the Chambers.
The personal safety of our students is of primary concern.
As soon as a job advertisement is lodged in the Sydney CareerHub, the Careers Centre check to ensure that the pay and advertised work conditions are in line with the Fair Work Act.
As an additional measure and in order to elicit feedback from students, the University emails students who have used CareerHub between two and three times per year.
Student feedback is critical to ensuring employers who expose our students to inappropriate behaviour can be banned from using our services.
