Ways to get involved

Annual alumni award events are hosted by the University of Sydney to celebrate the achievements of our graduates and recognise the contributions they make to their professional fields and the community.

We host a number of events and seminars throughout the year, offering students and alumni the opportunity for professional development, networking and the sharing of knowledge. Keep an eye on the faculty events page for future events, or update your details to receive email invitations.

Your support will help us to deliver medical breakthroughs, find preventions and cures, create healthier populations and foster the next generation of leading healthcare professionals and researchers.

You can make a one-off or ongoing gift, establish a bequest, or donate in honour of a person who is significant to you. Every gift, no matter its size, makes a difference to the work we do.

Why donate?
  • All donations go to those who need it most.
  • 100% of your donation goes straight to the cause.
  • Philanthropy benefits both the giver and the receiver.
  • All donations over $2 are tax deductible in Australia.
  • We rely on donations to support life changing research, scholarships and projects.
  • You can support a specific cause or give us the choice of deciding where your donation will have immediate impact.

Learn more about donating to the Faculty of Medicine and Health.

We love helping current students and recent graduates as they progress in their journey toward becoming healthcare professionals, and have plenty of opportunities for eager alumni to become mentors to current students.

For example, the Sydney School of Health Sciences' Mentoring Program connects alumni working in allied health with final year domestic and international students.

To get involved or to find out about mentoring opportunities in the Faculty of Medicine and Health, please contact Alumni Engagement Manager Sally Forbes at

Reunions are a great opportunity for alumni to get together, exchange news and reconnect. If you’re interested in organising a reunion, the Alumni Team can help you make contact with classmates and assist with planning the event.

Share your stories with current and prospective students, as well as the broader alumni community. Fill out our speaking opportunity expression of interest form and one of our team will be in touch.
