EDPR6012: Developing Integ eLearning Env Higher Ed

This unit will offer you the opportunity to develop your understanding of theoretical and practical issues in designing integrated eLearning environments in higher education. Participants will have the chance to consider their own teaching approaches in relation to students' experience of technology-enabled learning activities. Drawing on recent research into technology-enabled teaching and learning theory and practice, participants will design, develop and evaluate integrated learning activities that are relevant to their own teaching and learning contexts.

At the completion of this unit, you should be able to:

  • LO1. adopt a scholarly approach to the conceptualisation, design, development and evaluation of integrated eLearning environments
  • LO2. conceptualise the integrated learning environment in relation to the needs of your students, the demands of their context and research closely associated to their focus
  • LO3. engage in an educationally-led process of design, development, review and evaluation of integrated learning
  • LO4. develop student-centred environments that promote active learning
  • LO5. relate your integrated learning environments to sustainable and appropriate assessment and teaching strategies
  • LO6. critically review other integrated learning environments from a scholarly perspective.
