FRNC1602 French 2 is the continuation of FRNC1601 French 1. It is designed to further students' understanding of French and Francophone cultures, and strengthen their speaking, reading, writing and listening skills.

At the completion of this unit, you should be able to:
- LO1. demonstrate an understanding of short literary texts and authentic French material (short news articles, short news segments, excerpts of movies, etc.)
- LO2. communicate effectively at a basic level on more abstract topics (give opinion and advice, talk about past and current experiences, dreams and aspirations) and in different time frames (past, present, future)
- LO3. demonstrate a level of oral and written competency commensurate to level A2 of the European Framework for Languages
- LO4. approach materials related to French and Francophone studies from a multicultural perspective, broadening interdisciplinary skills.
