The in-country study unit introduces students to the Hebrew language and Israeli culture through an intensive program at a partner university in Israel. Students will have practical language lessons and receive an introduction to contemporary Israeli culture and society, and learn about the challenges, tensions and complexity. They will participate in cultural activities and have the opportunity to interact with local Jewish and Palestinian Arab Israelis and other groups, representing the diversity that is modern Israel. The unit will also develop skills in cross-cultural communication through direct contact.
