IMMU3903: Immunology in Human Disease (Advanced)

This unit is available to students who have performed well in Introductory Immunology (IMMU2101) IMMU2X11 Immunobiology and MIMI2X02/MEDS2004 Microbes, Infection and Immunity. Advanced students will complete the same core lecture material as students in IMMU3202 but attend a series of specialized seminar and research based tutorial classes.

Late submission

In accordance with University policy, these penalties apply when written work is submitted after 11:59pm on the due date:

Attendance and class requirements

Attendance: Satisfactory attendance at all workshops and practical classes is therefore a requirement to pass this course. For Immunology in Human Disease, satisfactory attendance is defined as ≥ 80% which means that if you miss more than 2 workshops or 2 practical classes without approved special consideration for illness or misadventure, or pre-approved Special arrangement, you will not be allowed to pass this unit of study. Students who arrive more than 30 minutes late to a workshop or practical class will be recorded as being absent.

Study commitment

Typically, there is a minimum expectation of 1.5-2 hours of student effort per week per credit point for units of study offered over a full semester. For a 6 credit point unit, this equates to roughly 120-150 hours of student effort in total.
