Working with children requirements

  1. Working With Children Check
  2. Anaphylaxis training

Anaphylaxis training

If you are studying a teaching degree, you will need to complete training in anaphylaxis before registering for your first placement.

The Australian Society for Clinical Immunology and Allergy offers anaphylaxis e-training. It is free to register and the course will take about 15 minutes to complete.

You need to print the certificate of completion and take it with you to your school on the first day of your placement.

Early childhood teaching students

If you are enrolled in an early childhood program, you need to satisfy a higher level of anaphylaxis training and also complete specific allergy and first aid training.

This is provided within your ‘Health and Wellness in Early Childhood’ unit of study by Sydney University Sport and Fitness. You will need to pay the costs of the training.
