Teaching area rules
| First Teaching Area |

| A first teaching area in English requires completion of a major or a minor from the English table of units of study. |
| Second Teaching Area |

| A second teaching area in English requires 24 credit points from the English table of units of study, comprising: |
| (i) a maximum of 12 credit points in 1000 level ENGL-coded units of study |
| (ii) a minimum of 12 credit points in 2000 or 3000 level ENGL-coded units of study |
